My Name is John Benton. I've been a rotaractor for many years, and will probably be a rotarian next year if we can get a club up and running. I'm from Deben in 1080 (Ipswich, Suffolk)

This is a brand new forum, don't be scared to post, You'll be made to feel at home here.

Hi, I'm Tom, and I'm a member (and president for the duration of May) of Halesowen Rotaract Club in District 1060 - West Midlands.
I'm currently considering setting up a Rotaract club in south Birmingham as I'm soon moving to the Moseley/Kings Heath area, and also because Halesowen Club is sadly closing at the end of June! If you know anyone who'd like to be involved in Rotaract in south Birmingham but isn't near an existing club, tell them to contact me!

Hi. And can I just say that I have never posted to a message board before, so I am feeling a bit shy! Anyway, I am Gillian Wain, and I am a member of the Rotary Club of Camberley in D1140. I joined the club in February. Prior to that, I was a member of Camberley Rotaract Club from 1997 to 2006. Fairly early on, I got involved with organising the 1999 RGBI Conference, and in doing that got to know many Rotaractors outside my own club. This led me to volunteer for the RIBI Working Party on Rotaract in 2002, which was tasked to look at the future of Rotaract. Thankfully we decided there was a future! Following that, they needed Rotaractors to complete some of the tasks that would help Rotaract get back on track…this led to me being RGBI Chairman in 2004/05 which was, I have to say, the most amazing experience of my life. If I listed everything that Rotaract has done for me I expect the forum would fall over! And I am looking forward to continuing that journey with Rotary.

Hello all. I'm Justin. Pretty new to all this Rotaract thing but enjoying it immensely. I read a lot of information off forums, but this is the only one I am actually going to post on. Would very much like to do more for Rotaract but can't seem to find the time. At least with this forum I'll be able to Rotaract during my lunch time. . . .

Ok my names Claire Seale, im in the Edinburgh Rotaract Club and the DC for 1020 (South East Scotland). Im reasonably new to the rotaract thing, but pretty much grew up with rotaract as my dad has been heavily involved ever since i can remember. Personally. i'm surprised my first word wasn't Rotary! Have just survived the RGBI conference for 2007 and i'm very excited about the progress of my district with 5 new interest clubs, so if anyone knows anyone up here that might be interested please get in touch!

Hi Everyone,

Im Martin, 26 and I live in Cheshire. I have been involved with Rotaract for just over 6 months now and it is the best thing I have done..Rotaract is a fantastic organisation to be a member of and the people you meet and the opportunity to make a difference is there!

In the time I have been in Rotaract, I have been to Turkey for the Rotaract European Meeting, RGBI Conference in Watford (Wide Awake Club rocks!!!) and I am at the moment, District Chairman Designate for 1050 in Cheshire. For RGBI, Im also the Editor of NEWSWIRE so if you have any articles, send them in!

Hi, my name's Sally Till, I am the District Rotaract Officer for 1120 (Kent & East Sussex). My DG has set me a big task for next year - 8 new Rotaract clubs. He's a past Rotaractor himself (as am I). I was President of Chatham Rotaract Club (sadly demised) in 1992-93 and District Chairman in 1996-97. I then went on to be RGBI Secretary and a Rotarian in 1997-98. I am a founder member of the Rotary Club of Eltham Phoenix (yes, Dipso's club) and was President last year! I look forward to seeing plenty of discussion on this forum and meeting old friends and making new ones! Cool

Hi all,

I'm Mark, and I've been a Rotaractor for 7 years. [The circle of seated fellow Rotaractors claps politely).

And enjoyed almost ever minute. (There was a meeting in late 2004 which was a bit of a drag, but other than that). A member of Deben Rotaract, around Ipswich, in 1080.

Currently club secretary, District Chair, RGBI publicity officer, and defender of the Earth.

Any cool photos or noteworthy Rotaract events - let me know, and I'll try to let others know what cool things you've been up to.

Mark
